I stopped my action at 8 pm after having done about anything a homeless person does. It was very enriching but the pure act of begging in the streets was quite confronting. Physically it’s the easiest thing you can do but on a psychological level you are permanently aware of the fact that you are not a beggar and that you are trespassing a territory that doesn’t belong to you. An actor as I am – at certain moments I was the character in distress, I couldn’t cope anymore with the lies and with my fading sense of integrity.
